The Five Eyes, often abbreviated as FVEY, is an intelligence alliance comprising Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States. These countries are bound by the multilateral UKUSA Agreement, a treaty for joint cooperation in signals intelligence…
The former NSA contractor Edward Snowden described the Five Eyes as a “supra-national intelligence organisation that doesn’t answer to the known laws of its own countries”. Documents leaked by Snowden in 2013 revealed that the FVEY have been spying on one another’s citizens and sharing the collected information with each other in order to circumvent restrictive domestic regulations on surveillance of citizens.
I’ve been the subject of surveillance on behalf of several government agencies, religious groups and political cabals for years. Given my predilection for libel and slander, I have deleted my blog every couple of years, always to the relief of my victims and occasionally to satisfy a lawsuit. If I had to, I could probably come up with copies of most of it, but what little I’ve looked up is like torture to read. Perhaps this is the ephemeral nature of stream of consciousness writing or merely absence of talent. Either way, it’s best ignored.
While I may not be the subject of mirth in Deep State, I like to think SIGINT related to me evinced the occasional chuckle among my handlers abroad. I’m pretty proud of Tammy Tightenloud, the dwarf transvestite Hooter’s waitress and clandestine stripper, putting her life at risk reporting on the local Tea Party. I created the malady of erectile narcolepsy, exorcised a Baptist congregation, receiving an email reply from God. My best work was putting Erskine Bowles in heels, dress, a wig and trotting him around Greensboro, addicted to ergot, pretending to be Maggie Thatcher and abusing a Bassett Hound named Holshouser.
Of course, no one at Langley knows of this because the various Five Eyes counterparts tasked with my surveillance failed to pass my stuff on as being significant threats. Still, I like to think that whether I have all my shit backed up or not, the better bits of it are stored somewhere abroad, if as nothing more than a collection of goofs.
I’m a bit gobsmacked at the moment, what with Wikileaks pulling the Russian rug out from under the MSM. Josh Marshall put up an article today about the villainy of gun runners after to fall of the Soviet Union. Maybe he hasn’t gotten the message yet.
The Clinton/Obama insurgency is already fraught with prosecutable offenses from Wikileaks during the campaign, as well as video evidence of vote rigging from James O’Keefe. AG Sessions is mucking out the stable and will soon be investigating these offenses. Trump seems committed to vexing the neocons Tillerson hasn’t tended to at State, to the delight of many supporters who voted for him and lots of folks abroad.
Obama should be learning, like Hillary, it is best to be quiet. They must begin to realize that the cosmos is aligned against them, and any resistance will be rewarded with effortlessly hilarious response. Those, like Matt Taibbi, who get paid by the word, have undergone electro-shock therapy to cure cognitive dissonance, properly attribute blame, and resume acting like Thomas Frank.
